Description
The Roma Capitale Museum Network is composed by an extremely different complex of museums and archaeological sites whose historical and cultural heritage is very important.
In addition with the Musei Capitolini, the most ancient public museum in the world, the Ara Pacis Museum, designed by Richard Meier and home of important exhibitions, but also the Mercati di Traiano with the Museo dei Fori Imperiali, and the Planetario, the favourite destination for anyone who wants to approach the new frontiers of science, are part of the system.
The system is also provided with some "hidden" treasures, small museums with important collections like the Napoleonic Museum, the Giovanni Barracco Museum of Ancient Sculpture, the Carlo Bilotti Museum, the Pietro Canonica Museum, the Museum of the Walls and others, waiting to be discovered.
Events and temporary exhibitions combine to give the system of museums a special place in Italy, with an offer of new initiatives for all categories of visitors.
Here you will find the basic fare (excluding exhibitions) in each museum.
Please note: During temporary exhibitions the cost of the ticket may vary.
