Typology: Hotspot WI FI

The WI MOVE project aims to create mobile information services for citizens and visitors, making available a metropolitan and free of charge wireless network.
With this offer, users have the opportunity to plan their trip, to choose the means of transport that best suits their needs in real time and be informed about the tourist services available locally, using your laptop or smartphone.
Atac SpA has implemented this service and the solutions for Roma Capitale, whose goals are: improving mobile information services and experimenting new ones; building a free WiFi network that allows free access to information services on transport and tourism without limits of time and a free Internet access for a limited time (1 hour); developping new services aimed at the integration of information on tourist attractions and public transport; experimenting new distribution channels for public information.

151 WiFi HotSpots have been launched in the city area:
- 44 main terminals;
- 44 electronic bus stops;
- 46 RomaWireless HotSpots;
- 12 places of tourist interest;
- 5 Tourist Information Points (PIT).
