The MIC is the card that, at a cost of 5 euros, offers 12 months unlimited access to the Municipality Museums and the historical, artistic and archaeological sites of the Superintendence, addressed to the metropolitan city residents, temporary residents in Rome* and students of public and private universities in the metropolitan area.
* temporary domiciled means a citizen who has been temporarily resident in Rome for at least 4 months and requires, for a maximum of a further 8 months, registration in the Temporary Population Register (SPT) at the Change of Residence Office of the City Council.
General information on the renewal of the MIC card:
It is possible to renew the MIC Card at the Municipal Museums and Tourist Infopoints.        MIC Cards are renewable only if expired and can only be renewed within 1 year from the expiry date. The renewal is valid for 12 months from the date on which it is made.
It is possible to renew the MIC Card online at the cost of € 5.00 + € 1.00 pre-sale through the portal of the Museums in the Municipality, by connecting to the page miccard.museiincomuneroma.it/ 
Before applying for renewal at the points of sale or carrying out the online procedure, check that you still meet the declared requirements for the purchase of the MIC Card.

Description

It is valid for 12 months from the activation date at the ticket office and is renewable;
it allows you to present yourself, with an identification document, directly at the entrance of the Museum without passing through the ticket office;
you can buy it at: Musei Capitolini, Centrale Montemartini, Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Museo di Roma, Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Musei di Villa Torlonia: Casino dei Principi / Casino Nobile / Casina delle Civette, Ara Pacis Museum, Museo dell'Ara Pacis, Museo Civico di Zoologia, Galleria d'Arte Moderna, Museo Giovanni Barracco, Museo Napoleonico, Museo Carlo Bilotti, Museo Pietro Canonica, Museo della Repubblica Romana e della Memoria Garibaldina, Museo delle Mura, Villa di Massenzio, Circus Maximus (archaeological area only), Forum Pass (Imperial Forums only) or the Tourist Infopoint (to consult the sales schedules of each Tourist Infopoint: Termini, Minghetti, Fori Imperiali, Castel Sant'Angelo, Ciampino, Fiumicino);
it is nominative and must always be accompanied by an identification document;
in order to purchase it, it is necessary to present a document attesting the possession of the requirement (residence, temporary domicile, university enrolment in the current year), leave your data and sign the declaration of consent to the processing of personal data (form); the person who completes the form must physically present an identification document at one of the MIC's purchase/collection points;
it is possible to give the MIC in Gift card version. You can donate it to another person, who resides or studies in Rome.
It is possible to purchase the MIC for another person by presenting: a copy of the identity document, the MIC data request form (including information and consent) completed and signed by the person concerned, the buyer's proxy. The proxy must include the personal details of the delegator, the personal details of the delegate and the specification of the purpose of the proxy (proxy for purchase or withdrawal Mic on behalf of the delegator).
It can also be purchased online at the price of € 5.00 + € 1.00; the card must be activated and collected at the Museums in the Municipality and the Tourist Infopoints; it is possible to collect the MIC for another person by presenting: a copy of the identity document, the MIC data request form (including information and consent) completed and signed by the person concerned, the buyer's proxy. We remind you that residents in Rome under 18 years of age have the right to free access to the Museums in the Municipality: free conditions and reductions (excluding museums where the reduced rate of € 2.00 is in force).

- Ara Pacis Museum excluding the exhibition space with separate ticketing.
