During launch period, cards will be issued free of charge. Once the ticket on it has expired, an éRoma card may be topped up with another tourist ticket (just one at a time) at an Atac ticket office.

ADVANTAGES

  • Cards are sturdier than paper tickets.
  • No irritating queues at the entryways. Indeed, electronic cards only need to tap validating machines of underground and buses, thus reducing transit time and, therefore, queues.
  • In case of ascertained malfunctioning, cards can be substituted.
  • Cards may be saved and reused in case of another visit to Rome.

HOW TO BUY TOURIST TICKETS ONLINE AND TOP UP éRoma ELECTRONIC CARDS
To purchase online, please fill in the e-commerce form and click on the BUY button at the bottom of the page.

It´s fast and easy.

1. Choose the tourist ticket you prefer. By using a shopping cart, you may select different quantities per each kind of tourist tickets. Each chosen ticket has to match with an electronic card that may be topped up with just one tourist ticket at a time.

2. Choose how to get your card, either by collecting it yourself at a ticket office or having it mailed at your home.

3. Fill in your personal information, email contact, document type and number.

4. Pay. Once you have chosen your tourist tickets, a delivery option and filled in your personal information, you may proceed with the purchase by selecting a payment method, either credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Maestro), Unicredit bank transfer, or PayPal.

5. Collection/delivery

Collection at an Atac ticket office: you will present the voucher generated by the system during the online purchase, which indicates a code (cart code) and the tickets you bought. At the same time you will receive a confirmation email summarizing all the data relating to your transaction.
Cards may be collected at the following ticket offices:

  • Underground A Line: Anagnina, Battistini, Lepanto, Ottaviano San Pietro, Spagna
  • Underground B-B1 Line: Laurentina, Eur Fermi, Ponte Mammolo, Conca D´Oro, Termini
  • Roma-Lido Railway: Porta San Paolo
  • FR Roma-Viterbo Railway: Flaminio
  • Home delivery by mail: fill in all the shipping data indicated by the system. Home delivery costs will be charged and included in the total amount of the payment.

HOW TO USE A CARD
Once delivered at home or collected at a ticket office, a card with a tourist ticket is already activated. You must validate it at the beginning of your trip by tapping it on one of the magnetic-electronic readers on the bus or at the entryways of the underground. This step must be repeated any time you board a public means of transport (bus or underground).
You need to carry along your payment receipt all the time, and show it, together with your card, on request by a ticket inspector.

WHERE TO USE A CARD
éRoma cards may be used on all public transport and along the entire circuit networks of Metrebus (buses, trams and underground), Cotral lines, and regional railways in the territory of Rome Capital.
The following special lines are excluded:
- Cotral line from Rome Tiburtina or Rome Termini to Fiumicino Airport;
- Trenitalia “Non-stop” line from Rome Termini to Fiumicino Airport.

TOP UP
Once the ticket on it has expired, an éRoma card may be topped up with a new tourist ticket at one of the Atac ticket offices listed above.
éRoma cards may be topped up with just one tourist ticket at a time.
You must validate your topped up card at the beginning of your trip by tapping it on one of the magnetic-electronic readers present on the bus or at the entryways of the underground. This step must be repeated any time you board a means of transport (bus or underground).

SUBSTITUTION
In case of malfunctioning, the card can be substituted by presenting it, together with its payment voucher, at one of Atac ticket offices.
Being impersonal, in case of loss cards cannot be substituted.
